How does the widget work and how often it is refreshed?

The widget helps you to check the most important weather data in one glance without even opening the app. Both, app and widget, work independently so there’s no need to run the app in the background to get refreshed widget data. Displayed is always the latest location you were looking at within the app. The observation data shown in the widget are the last measurements from the assigned weather station. Usually there is a new measurement once in an hour, so the current weather data appear in the widget a few minutes later.
