Why the air pressure data differs between device sensor and app?

All data within the app are collected based on meteorological guidelines. Thus, the air pressure values in the app are reduced to Mean Sea Level (MSL) by converting the values to the height of the sea level. However, the sensors of your device measure the air pressure at your location. As air pressure decreases with height, the values of the sensor devices may vary from the data presented in the app. Please also note that the sensor of your device might be defective or doesn’t work properly.
